tHRive HR Fundamentals Cohort Program

Program Overview. The tHRive HR Fundamentals Cohort is a customized learning experience for Southwest PA nonprofit leaders looking to enhance their understanding of HR and people practices. Facilitated by Block & Associates, the 2026 curriculum provides twice monthly Zoom workshops, comprehensive tools, and individual HR coaching to build confidence and competency in HR fundamentals.

Application Process.
This program is limited to 12 participants. Interested candidates should apply by Friday, July 24, 2026.
Selected applicants will be notified of program acceptance by Friday, July 31, 2026.

We will also host an Information Session on Tuesday, July 14th at 2pm for prospective applicants.

Covered topics include:
HR Administration: Job descriptions & org charts, employee files & documentation, I-9 compliance & onboarding paperwork, employee handbook policies, time & attendance tracking

Recruiting & Hiring: Job posting & sourcing strategies, interview best practices & legal compliance, background check protocols, offer letters & employment agreements, reference checks

People Management: Performance management cycles, goal-setting & accountability, progressive discipline process, employee recognition programs, termination protocols.

Elevate NP & PACE announce partnership to increase access to nonprofit consultants in SWPA!

Elevate NP and Program to Aid Citizen Enterprise (PACE) have announced a new partnership to enhance and expand how nonprofit organizations across southwestern Pennsylvania find vetted, high-quality consulting partners to help with strategy, fundraising, communications, financial management, and more.

PACE has developed and operates a directory of dozens of vetted consultants across multiple categories of nonprofit capacity building. In early 2026, Elevate NP launched its Navigation service to connect nonprofits with capacity-building resources, including consultants with diverse subject matter expertise.

Our partnership will leverage each organization’s strengths:

PACE will operate the nonprofit consultant directory, maintain and verify quality control standards for included consultants, and recruit consultants in underserved categories and geographies
Elevate NP will assist nonprofits and consultants in identifying and connecting with potential consulting partners tailored to their situation and increase regional awareness of this resource.Elevate NP and PACE will also collaboratively offer professional development programming for nonprofit consultants and host periodic consultant networking events.

As part of this partnership, PACE is creating the new position of Program Manager for Consulting Services. This person will be responsible for directory/community management as well as collecting data and measuring the impact of this partnership.

Scenario Planning is back!

These free Scenario Planning Clinic series support nonprofits around our region: funding, rising costs, policy, shifting demand, staffing, and technology. We have released several in-person Scenario Planning Clinics across the region starting in June 2026.

Facilitated by Jake Seltman and Will Tolliver of Procopia, these in-person clinics will be offered around the region on the following dates.
